Artist Background:

James A. Traficant, Jr. (Jim or Jimbo) was purportedly railroaded into a Federal Prison on trumped up charges after a successful run of  9 terms in the US Congress, as a former Sheriff, former football star and breeder of Champion Saddlebred horses for 30 years duration.

This colorful outspoken maverick has never before painted anything-
other than perhaps the side of a barn or fence.  However, in January of 2005 at the Federal Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota he took to "art" like a duck to water.

Since then he has produced original paintings, mostly from memory, showing his beloved Saddlebred Horses on canvas, paper, prison cardboard, and formica.  The paints and materials used were those that were available to him, on a limited budget, often in short supply and difficult to obtain.

Jim Traficant started out as an amateur but is progressing rapidly, diversifying to landscapes and any motive that strikes his fancy, still limited by the materials available to him. There are some watercolors, yet most are acrylic. All are originals.

If you would like to own a piece of history, coupled with the knowledge of
helping justice in this case, feel free to bid on the offered art works or inquire as to others available, photos and prices.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
